Surgical Nursing Cluster honors Constance Donovan, MSN, for her ethics work

Donovan, RN, MSN, formerly a clinical nurse specialist in Oncology. A founding member of the hospital’s Bioethics Committee and former chair of the Oncology Nursing Council, Donovan was honored for helping nurses develop their “moral compass” for patient care. Donovan, who retired in 2006 after 29 years of service at YNHH, devoted her professional life to improving nursing care for cancer patients.

Shown with Donovan at the seminar at which she also spoke are (l-r): Annie Kaisen, RN, service line educator, Surgery; Marie Devlin, RN, patient service manager, Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU); Donovan; and Cory Kroon, RN, and Tina Capstick, RN, both nurses on the SICU and co-chairs of the Surgical Nursing Cluster.
